In 1928, Mike Albert founded a used car
dealership on Gilbert Avenue
in Cincinnati, Ohio. In those days, automobile needs were
relatively basic and the local market offered Mike Albert Autos many opportunities
to be a success. The post-war demand for used cars permitted Mike Albert Autos to
relocate to a larger lot, and then to add two more locations. By 1955, Mike
Albert led the city in used car sales. Late in 1957, the company expanded into
auto leasing which was in it's infancy. The plan was for all vehicles that were returned
from lease to be ideal used cars for Mike Albert Autos to sell. This paid
off and the leasing business grew. A new location dedicated to leasing sales and service
was opened. In 1961, growth forced another move to a larger facility where the
business remained for the next eleven years. In 1972, Mike Albert Leasing moved
to Evendale, converting a truck terminal on 6 1/2 acres of land into a major selling,
leasing and service facility. In 1984, Mike Albert expanded again when an
adjacent building was acquired, adding 30,000 square feet of space on 3 1/2
acres of land. Since then, Mike Albert has opened several Auto Superstores
where the general public can buy, lease or rent all makes and models of
vehicles, known as the place, "Where Your Automotive Shopping Stops!"
